EMBARK is teaming up with community partners to provide free vaccines and health services to the public from 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the downtown Transit Center, 420 NW 5th St.
The Oklahoma City-County Health Department will administer free flu shots during the event, just in time for the winter season.
In addition to vaccinations, attendees will receive dental screenings from Neighborhood Services Organization, information on preventative healthcare services from Oklahoma City Indian Clinic, mental health education and outreach from mental health education and outreach from Mental Health Association Oklahoma, and SoonerSelect Health Plan information from Oklahoma Complete Health.
“Removing barriers is a big part of our mission here at EMBARK,” Kharlie Barnaby, EMBARK’s Assistant Director of Operations said. “We’re excited to bring these partner organizations into our transit center to make health and wellness accessible to all.”
The health fair is free and open to the public. No appointment necessary. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. Plan your trip at embarkok.com.
