Summer 2021 Service Changes

These service updates will become effective for OKC and Norman bus service and are intended to make service more frequent, reliable, and safe and result from operator and customer feedback.

Summer 2021 service updates will start on Sunday, July 25. These service updates will become effective for OKC and Norman bus service and are intended to make service more frequent, reliable, and safe and result from operator and customer feedback. Updates include slight schedule changes to 13N, 018, 023, and 121. Other changes include the removal/addition of stops on routes 002, 009, 011, 012, 023, 23N and 121. 

To share feedback on routes, schedules, and EMBARK services, submit ideas in writing any time at the Transit Center, through  the Help Center, or during business hours by calling 405-235-RIDE (7433).



Summer 2021 Service Updates

Route 002

  • Change: Add bus stop #4111 on 23rd St. and Farris to outbound route
  • Objective: Decrease gap in stops on 23rd st., and provide additional access to customers along the route

Route 009, 011, 012

  • Change: Eliminate partial trips at stops to Greenfield Business Park and OCCC
  • Objective: Improve on-time performance (OTP) and overall safety of route operation

Route 018

  • Change: Increase from 60-minutes to 30-minute frequency during weekdays, and add 60-minute weekend service on Saturday and Sunday
  • Objective: Improve frequency and increase days of service

Route 044

  • Change: Pilot ended. Continuous service will not be established.

Route 13N

  • Change: Adjusted schedule times to maintain frequency
  • Objective: Improve on-time performance (OTP) and overall safety of route operation

Route 121 (Norman) 

  • Change: Add stop #4234 at Porter Ave and E Rich to service
  • Objective: Serve Norman Regional Hospital
  • Change: Add stop #4237 at N Flood and Acres St.
  • Objective: Decrease gap in stops on Berry, and provide additional access to customers along the route
