5310 Program - Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities

Section 5310 enhances mobility for seniors and persons with disabilities by providing capital and operating funds for programs to serve the special needs of transit-dependent populations beyond the traditional public transportation services and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complementary paratransit services.

Program Overview

EMBARK is the direct recipient of the Federal Transit Administration’s Section 5310 Funding for Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities for the Oklahoma City urbanized area. The goal of the 5310 program is to make federal resources available to improve mobility for the target population by removing barriers to transportation services, expanding available transportation options, and supporting a coordinated, community-wide transportation network.
